Drew McIntyre Appears Despite Injury, Uncle Howdy Return Date Clue & More: WWE Raw 05/13 Results, Recap & Highlights

WWE Monday Night RAW came live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. This episode kicked off the quarterfinals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. Two men’s quarterfinals and two women’s quarterfinals match to decide who will be crowned the King and Queen at the PLE in Saudi Arabia. With the likes of Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Gunther, Iyo Sky, Becky Lynch, and many more on the show, fans were anticipating an action-packed episode. Here are the results of WWE RAW.

WWE RAW 13/05/2024 Results

Opening segment: Drew McIntyre opened the show. Continuing his feud with CM Punk, he cut a promo that started by mentioning how Punk didn’t show up in small towns. He went on to diss Jey Uso and Damian Priest. Priest came out to cut his promo short. The Judgment Day star asked him to cut a promo to his face, and the two had a verbal standoff. Priest told him if he wanted a title shot, then he would get one.

The Queen of the Ring quarterfinals match: Iyo Sky vs. Shayna Baszler

Winner: Iyo Sky

Shayna Baszler attacked Iyo Sky before the match even started. After getting in the ring, Baszler kept on the offense, but Sky got herself some room to breathe. While Baszler kept her focus on keeping Sky grounded, she was able to mount a comeback. Getting the upper hand, she was able to pin Baszler for the win. Another QR code for Uncle Howdy was shown.

Backstage segment: Sky spoke backstage about winning the tournament and becoming the champion.

Backstage segment: Carlito met with Judgment Day, who claimed they didn’t need his help. His efforts to gain their trust continue.

Backstage segment: Chad Gable was seen talking to the members of Alpha Acadamy. Since he turned heel, he’s been harsh with the members. Gable told the group to cut out their babyface activities and focus on winning their matches.

Backstage segment: The Awesome Truth was set to find #1 contenders to challenge for their titles tonight.

The King of the Ring quarterfinals match: Gunther vs. Kofi Kingston

Winner: Gunther

WWE’s iconic RAW announcer, Lilian Garcia, returned to announce this match. Like in the previous match, Kingston attacked Gunther before he could even enter the ring. Once the match started, the former Intercontinental champion showed signs of having injured his knee. Despite hitting a splash of the top rope, he couldn’t keep The Ring General down for the count. Gunther took control by slamming Kingston on the outside of the ring. The Ring General then assumed control of the match while Kingston kept pressure on Gunther’s injured leg. Unfortunately for The New Day star, much like Gunther’s victory over Sheamus last week, he made Kingston tap.

Backstage segment: Lyra Valkyria claims she’s here to stay and aid Becky Lynch when she needs it. Liv Morgan tries to interrupt, but Lynch gets the last word.

Bronson Reed vs Akira Tozawa

Winner: Bronson Reed

It was a very quick match, with Chad Gable at ringside acting as a complete heel. Despite having the upper hand at the start, Reed was able to turn the tables and win via pinfall after hitting the Tsunami.

Backstage segment: Ludwig Kaiser claimed he saved Sheamus last week.

Backstage segment: Adam Pearce is seen asked why Bron Breakker wasn’t part of the KOTR tournament. Before Pearce could answer, Breakker arrived and claimed he would have beaten everyone.

The Queen of the Ring quarterfinals match: Lyra Valkyria vs. Zoey Stark

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

This hard-hitting match saw the former NXT Champion take on Zoey Stark. While both women were equally matched, each showcased their own unique style. Stark tried to deliver the Z360 but it was countered by the eventual victor who delivered a Nightwing to emerge victorious.

Sami Zayn vs. Otis

Winner: Sami Zayn

While this match could have ended like Tozawa’s, Zayn proved to be a formidable opponent. With Gable at ringside again, Otis tried to put the Intercontinental champion down. Unfortunately, Zayn was too pumped to let that happen. One Helluva Kick later, Zayn got the pin on Otis for the win.

Post Match: Gable got in the ring to humiliate Otis for losing. The Intercontinental champion entered and took Gable out. However, he was able to exit the ring before Zayn could truly attain his revenge. Despite being helped by Otis, Gable slapped him before leaving.

Dakota Kai vs. Becky Lynch

Winner: Becky Lynch wins due to Damage CTRL attacking her

This was a long and hard match between the current Women’s World Champ, Becky Lynch, and the woman who wants to overthrow her. With Damage CTRL on the outside, Lynch had to be more focused than ever. Both women exchanged blows and moves, keeping each other at bay. After getting the Armbar locked in, Damage CTRL entered the ring to beat down Lynch, causing a disqualification.

Post-match: Keeping what she said earlier, Valkyria came out to aid Lynch. While Damage CTRL escaped, Morgan entered and took out Lynch.

Tag Team Titles #1 Contender’s Fatal-4 Way match: The Judgment Day vs. The New Catch Republic vs. The Creed Brothers vs. Authors of Pain 

Winner: The Judgment Day

The match would determine who would face Awesome Truth for the Tag Titles. While everyone was showing off why they deserved a title shot, The Creed Brothers and New Catch Republic were on fire. With magnificent displays of strength, the fans were behind them. However, with an interference from Carlito, The Judgment Day picked up the win.

Main Event:  The King of the Ring quarterfinals match: Jey Uso vs. Ilja Dragunov

Winner: Jey Uso

The two stars seemed equally matched in the match. Despite giving it all in the ring and on the outside, Mr. Main Event couldn’t keep the Dragon down. As the match continued, Dragunov seemed to be in control. Jey turned the tides by hitting the Spear, followed by the Uso Splash for the win. The former Bloodline member will be in the semi-finals of the KOTR tournament.

Post-match: Gunther came out to stare down Jey Uso.
