The Immortal Hulk Hogan has been involved in the wrestling business for quite a long time now. He started getting recognition in the 1980s and quickly grew to become one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The golden era of WWF saw him become the face of the company, and bring in crowds of people.
Hogan had the right amount of attitude, charisma, physique, and wrestling abilities to make him the face of the company. He had a huge fan following, and that made him an International star. His unexpected heel turn at WCW gave him a huge boost and made him arguably the biggest star in the industry during that time.

During his time in WWE, Hogan participated in a total of 12 WrestleMania matches. Each one of them being iconic and legendary in its own way. The inaugural edition of WrestleMania saw Hogan team up with Mr.T. While, the Hulkster’s final WrestleMania match saw him face off against none other than, Mr.McMahon himself.
All of his WrestleMania matches have been iconic, especially the one against Yokozuna at WrestleMania 9. During this event, Hulk Hogan faced Yokozuna in an impromptu match, after Yokozuna had defeated Bret Hart for the World Title. However, what caught the attention of the fans was Hogan’s black eye, with which he had wrestled at the event.

Speaking on WSI – Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Brutus ‘the Barber’ Beefcake revealed what had caused Hogan’s injury. He said that the injury was caused because of a speedboating incident. Beefcake revealed that Hogan had a much faster and bigger boat than them, and how he had warned Hogan.
He said, “I told him do not stand up on it, because you won’t be able to control it. So, we’re out there, next thing you know, he’s standing up, and big wave hits him.” The former WWF superstar revealed how the WaveRunner was sent flying in the air, and hit Hogan’s skull, cracking and fracturing it open.

In the same interview, he continued on what occurred. The 65-year-old said, “That was actually fractured, he had broken bones there, and the guy said, the doctor said, he was lucky. He nearly lost his eye. He was knocked out. We had to drag him out of the water, into the hospital, and stuff.”
Brutus Beefcake continued how the doctors checked him. Beefcake revealed, “they (doctors) checked and said, ‘Yes, his eye’s going to be okay. He’s going to be okay. Looked horrible, black and blue. This is only a few days before we get to Las Vegas.”

The team then traveled to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 9, which saw the fans and critics both get agitated by the ending of Hogan winning the championship from Yokozuna.
