On the September 30th episode of NXT No Mercy, Dominik Mysterio was unfortunately unable to defend his title. He lost his NXT North American Champion title to Trick Williams. This had caused some distress to him and other members of The Judgment Day including Rhea Ripley. But the tides have changed for Dirty Dom as he defeated Trick Williams and ended his 3-day title reign.

After taking the celebration backstage, Dominik Mysterio made a bold statement that will serve as a reminder for Trick Williams forever.

Dominik Mysterio stands tall

The Judgment Day was celebrating Dominik Mysterio’s win against Trick Williams. After a humiliating defeat, he reclaimed the title back. This had made the 26-year-old star, a two-time North American NXT champion, something that Finn Balor was chanting backstage. Fans saw the heel faction walking out with the champion while all the members showed off their title belts. At this moment, Mysterio looked at the camera to send a message. He said, “We run all of WWE and don’t you forget it, The Judgment Day runs all” sending a potent reminder that they are not to be messed with.

The loss of Dominik Mysterio shocked everyone, including his stablemates. This loss made Rhea Ripley come out of her break to support his on-screen beau. After her recent appearance on Monday Night Raw, she decided to set things straight after her long absence. She turned to her Dirty Dom and blasted him for losing the title. She then told him that he would have his chance at a rematch which would be held the very next day that is on October 3. But with the chance of redemption came a stern warning. The Eradicator told him that if he lost this chance, he shouldn’t think of going back to her.

It looked like the warning worked in his favor as he proudly made his way back. But what not many people know is Trick Williams had an opportunity to keep the title if only he had joined hands with an NXT star. 

If only Trick Williams forged an alliance with a potential ally

On his way to the ring, Trick Williams was met by a friend and supporter, Carmelo Hayes. Hayes had recently lost the NXT Championship title to Ilja Dragunov at this year’s WWE NXT No Mercy 2023 premium live event. The star decided to offer his help in defending the title to Williams. But the 29-year-old star declined his friend’s offer. As soon as Williams reached the ring, he was shocked to see the entire Judgment Day along with JD McDonagh standing at the ringside to help Dominik Mysterio. And when Williams needed the help of his friend, it was already too late for him.

After his conversation with Williams, Hayes was met with a long-time rival, Bron Breakker. The 25-year-old star decided to give some advice to Hayes. He asked where was Williams when he lost his NXT Championship title to Dragunov. He told him to stop running behind Williams and leave Williams out of this. Thus, he decided not to run to his aid.

While Dominik Mysterio was still trying to recover from the loss, he regained his title with the help of his stablemates.
