On Monday night Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus cut a promo. This was her first promo after turning heel and attacking tag team partner Becky Lynch a few days ago. Stratus highlighted how the women’s division in WWE wasn’t as good when she started in the company. She also told fans they should be grateful to her for uplifting the said division. Fans, however, thought otherwise. Meanwhile, the saga has received a new twist after BT Sport dug up an old photo of Roman Reigns in an attempt to prove the 47-year-old wrong. Fans had a field day on Twitter, courtesy of the aforementioned social media post.

Fans ask why as media outlet shares an old picture of Roman Reigns ‘acknowledging’ Trish Stratus

Roman Reigns is the top guy in WWE currently. As a champion, he is nearing the coveted 1,000-day mark. Ever since forming his stable, the Bloodline, the Tribal Chief has witnessed an unprecedented rise. Often, he asks the WWE Universe to acknowledge him. Meanwhile, social media users were amused to see the head of the table acknowledging Trish Stratus in a throwback photograph.

Stratus had told fans on Raw that she’s “not a nostalgia act” and “not your childhood fantasy”. She made her WWE debut over a decade before Reigns. A WWE Hall of Famer, there is no doubt that many pro-wrestling fans grew up watching Stratus and her colleagues jostling in the early 2000s. According to the photograph, Reigns may have been one of them.

Netizens couldn’t hold back their thoughts after WWE on BT Sport uploaded the picture. This user urged the outlet to stop exposing ‘The Tribal Chief.’

Another demanded an answer.

This user wanted to know if the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion acknowledged the WWE Hall of Famer.

This, however, wasn’t the end of the story.

Trish Stratus hits back with a cheeky reply

Not just random social media users, Trish Stratus herself replied to the post. The seven-time WWE Women’s Champion had a savage reply.

Meanwhile, Stratus addressed her recent Tag Team Championship loss to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. During her aforementioned promo, she said it was deliberate.

“I took out Lita. Yeah. And the reason I needed Lita out of the picture is because I needed it to be crystal clear that the person who screwed Becky Lynch out of her titles was me,” the former WWE Women’s Champion said.

Though Stratus appeared sporadically on television between 2012 and 2019, she took a hiatus from WWE for three years before returning in 2022. Though she didn’t do much, the 47-year-old has had a much more active run in the last few months.

Stratus also appeared in a six-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 39, winning it alongside team members Lita and Becky Lynch. Then she turned heel, indicating the beginning of a longer spell.
