As we enter WrestleMania week, Cody Rhodes is rapidly inching towards potentially etching his name in the history book with the ultimate victory against the Tribal Chief. The American Nightmare came up short to finish his story last year, but he didn’t let his drive run out right there. Rather, through a series of roadblocks, the 38-year-old clinched another golden opportunity to strike on a first-ever accolade, the Undisputed Universal WWE Championship belt. But is there a chance for him to get doomed two times consecutively in a row? Former WWE star Ryback dropped a concerning insight.

Ryback foresees an unpopular end to Cody Rhodes’ WWE story

Rhodes’ clash with Roman Reigns eventually turned into a clash against Reigns’ Samoan cousin, The Rock, and took over the WWE world in recent weeks. The Rock put a grudge tag team match on the path of Rhodes’ final fight and made sure he must surpass him to reach Reigns and his undisputed glory. But despite all the back and forth, Rhodes is heading to the Philadelphia main event as a clear favorite, with fans rallying behind him. But ex-WWE star, Ryback advised fans to prepare for any deathblow as WWE is capable of turning the wheel at the last minute.

The former Intercontinental Champion believes pushing Cody Rhodes to the height was only a trick to make him shockingly lose at the eleventh moment.

”This is leading in the direction pointing to the fact that Cody Rhodes should overcome the odds and finally become the WWE champion at Wrestlemania but this is WWE and there is petty as it gets don’t be shocked don’t be shocked if Cody Rhodes does not win at WrestleMania I personally hope he does and I hope he finishes his story but if he doesn’t don’t be shocked and that’s the last bite” the 42-year-old noted.

It’s not only Ryback who fears something completely absurd materializing on the Night 2 of WrestleMania, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff, also possesses a similar misgiving.
