On the road to WrestleMania, Royal Rumble hits the room, enabling fans to tap into the hype. CM Punk’s colossal return might have made most people over the moon, but not everyone for sure. Seth Rollins’ infamous antics on the exact day of his return are the strongest testament to it. And if we talk about the second strongest anti-Punk sentiment, Drew Mclntyre emerged as another prominent name.

After trading barbs for weeks, the 38-year-old called out Punk for not living up to his own words.

The Scotsman was visibly upset over The Second City Saint’s return and voiced his wrath. He followed in the footsteps of his rival Seth freakin Rollins by doing this. The two recently engaged in a heated back-and-forth between the two polarizing acts.

Capitalizing on this momentum, Mclntyre now showed up in a clip and slated the former AEW star with some rude name-calling.

The clip showed Mclntyre ranting, ”I am here in Las Cruces for tonight’s live event, and Guess who’s not here? The same person that claimed on Monday they would live by example CM Punk don’t be a hypocrite mate. Leading by example suggests you’re outworking everyone. And we both know that’s not true I look at you and see the same old Punk very big name very goof and here to make money, not friends, your words not mine”

He then went on to compare his feat to that of Punk, leading to some boastful claims. We need to see where the overflowing bad blood leads them in the long run.

To look back at their last week’s affairs, it unleashed a huge wedge between both stars.

Drew Mclntyre termed CM Punk a narcissist in a boiling promo battle

Everyone who had a segment with CM Punk since his return has delivered banger promos. Drew McIntyre was not an exception on Raw last Monday, chiseling out his best in the mic as a rising heel.

The Second City Saint has been a constant pain in the neck for Rollins and McIntyre, who cut scathing promos and took the crowd to storms in the live shows for weeks.

The Scottish Warrior dished out absolute savage on the red brand last week.

“You’re Straight Edge. You don’t have any demons. You are a demon, a self-serving narcissistic succubus.“, Mclntyre cut through the former world champion real bad.

With Punk already on the Royal Rumble board as part of a big match, an upcoming clash with McIntyre could be a major feud for Elimination Chamber in Australia in February.
