Dominik Mysterio’s Upcoming Title Match on RAW Draws Reaction From an Aggrieved 37-Year-Old Star Ahead of No Mercy: “Everything Is Fine”

Monday Night RAW opened with a match between Dirty Dom and The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. Dominik Mysterio lost the match, but that was not the end of his troubles as WWE later declared a new challenger for his NXT North American Championship. Mysterio has to overcome the challenger on the next week’s edition of Raw.

However, this announcement didn’t impress a superstar who thought he would attain the title shot. The 37-year-old original title challenger took to X to share his grief.

WWE Superstar expresses his grief at the missed title opportunity

After being moved to the NXT brand, Mustafa Ali found something meaningful storyline to work on. After Dominik Mysterio won the NXT North American Championship, a conundrum for the title shot took place. 

It was a reference to Dragon Lee getting a title shot match against Dominik Mysterio ahead of Mustafa Ali. He expressed his frustration at the booking choice despite beating Lee in their encounter in the past.

Dominik Mysterio has to defend his NXT North American Championship from the clutches of Mustafa Ali at No Mercy on 30th September. Ali defeated Dragon Lee during the NXT episode on September 5th where Dominik Mysterio was the guest referee and helped Ali clinch the win.

It is not sure as to why Dirty Dom assisted Mustafa Ali with the win, but Dragon Lee took the matters personally and confronted Ali with the issue. Ali offered Lee a resolution that if he became the NXT North American Champion, Lee would become his first challenger. However, Dragon Lee did not find comfort in the answer.

Dragon Lee gets another title shot on RAW

On Monday Night RAW’s episode on 19th September, WWE confirmed that Dragon Lee would be making his main roster debut on 26th September on RAW. He will challenge Dominik Mysterio for the title and his second shot at the Championship.

They made this announcement after Lee confronted Ali on NXT and raised his issue over the fast count by Mysterio. Moreover, WWE made the match official and later announced it through X.
