Dominik Mysterio’s Dedication to Rhea Ripley Sparks Drama With Cody Rhodes Ahead of Their Match on RAW

Opening the episode of the September 18 episode of RAW, Dominik Mysterio locked horns with Cody Rhodes at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. While Rhodes came out first and started a promo, his opponent interrupted him. In trademark fashion, the crowd booed him to voice their displeasure. However, an unrelenting, Dominik Mysterio said he wanted to dedicate his victory to Rhea Ripley, who remained absent from the show.

As soon as the NXT North American Champion made the admission, it sparked a massive reaction from Rhodes, who left the 26-year-old frustrated.

Cody Rhodes pokes holes at Dominik Mysterio’s ‘personal’ life

While Dominik Mysterio’s interaction with Rhea Ripley got off to an underwhelming start for Rey Mysterio’s son, it has gone through a sea of change. In recent months, Dom and Mami have been inseparable as a couple. So, it wasn’t a surprise when Dominik spoke about dedicating his win to the Australian native.

However, Rhodes, the more experienced of the two, knew just where to hurt the Judgment Day member. Since the comeback of Jey Uso to RAW, the faction has been trying its best to recruit the former The Bloodline member.

The American Nightmare used the development to poke holes at Mysterio’s on-screen relationship with Mami. Questioning his dedication act, Rhodes asked Mysterio what the deal was as he pointed out that Ripley “has eyes for Jey Uso”.
