One of the biggest power couples in wrestling right now is undoubtedly Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Despite having different partners in real life, the two have great chemistry and have stolen the hearts of many fans. But this kayfabe doesn’t exist outside the arena and there have been multiple times that both of them have posted about their respective partners.

Just last week, we got the news that Ripley is engaged to ex-WWE star Buddy Mathews. Now, Mysterio is the one talking about his own wife-to-be and even the hosts agree that it’s adorable.

Hoping digitally on the Bakers Bantering show, the hosts asked Mysterio a lot of questions. Some concerning his wrestling chemistry with Ripley, while some were about his experience working in WWE. But the one question that got his girlfriend involved was about his mullet. Debuting it at WrestleMania 38, Mysterio has kept his mullet ever since.

Talking about his fiancé’s reaction to the mullet, he said, “So, Marie is a weird case because she’s, she’s gonna hate me for saying this. But she’s obsessed with me to where she’s like, ‘I don’t care what you do. I just love you…’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, I appreciate that. But be honest with me. Because we’re getting married pretty soon and I’m gonna have this mullet.’ And she’s like, ‘I don’t care. Have the mullet.’ And I was like, ‘All right. Sick.’ That’s how I know she’s a trooper.”

Meeting in a Spanish class in 2011, Mysterio and Marie Juliette are high school sweethearts who are already engaged. Being professional, both Matthews and Juliette might know that Ripley and Mysterio’s relationship is only for show. But the same can’t be said about the fans who are addicted to seeing Mami and Dom-Dom’s pairing.

There was a time, back before Mysterio was winning every match at Raw, that there would be a segment involving only Ripley and Mysterio. But Matthew’s proposal to Ripley this past week has calmed many fans’ nerves. With both couples hopefully getting married in the coming days, these insults from the fans might even stop completely.
