The world of WWE is quite complex and sophisticated. What you see on screen differs entirely from what goes on behind the curtains. Dynamics and bonds that are portrayed in one way on the screen may differ in real life. That is the case with one of the most dominating factions in pro wrestling now. Recently, a member of The Judgment Day and Dominik Mysterio’s tag team partner, Rhea Ripley announced her engagement. This has left Mysterio without a confederate. However, recently, a rising WWE star posed with the NXT North American Champion and posted the photo on his social media. Could this mean that Dirty Dom has found a new partner in crime?

Grayson Waller meets Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio has earned the stature of being one of the most hated heels in WWE history. With each and every action of his being subject to scrutiny and criticism, it’s typically hard to find support for the 26-year-old. However, another heel who is also making waves in the promotion currently recognizes Mysterio’s talent.

Grayson Waller took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a picture with Dominik Mysterio. In this picture, we can see Mysterio looking at the Arrogant Aussie’s t-shirt while Waller is trying to explain something to Mysterio.

The caption of the photo said, “ With the Greatest Luchador of All Time”. The photo showed a candid side of the intense fighters. Both Mysterio and Waller are known to be fierce when they are inside the ring. But here they can be seen enjoying each other’s company and having a good time. This could mean that there is an off-ring friendship developing between them.

However, another possibility could develop from this meeting. Waller met Dominik Mysterio just a couple of days before his loss to Rey Mysterio. Could Waller turn this off-court friendship into a notorious tag team?

Oddball partnerships work a treat in wrestling and draw a lot of fans to the sport. Just take a look at The Rock and Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Triple H, Daniel Bryan and Kane just to name a few. Could Waller turn this off-court friendship into a notorious tag team and perhaps replicate the wrestling friendship that sold out 80,000 plus tickets just a week back?

A potential partnership in the making?

In the last episode of WWE SmackDown, we saw Waller facing off against Rey Mysterio in a match. However, luck didn’t favor the 33-year-old as Rey Mysterio defeated Waller with his signature 619 move. Mysterio emerged victorious in a heated rivalry which left Waller in a position to seek revenge on the senior Mysterio.

It is pretty evident that one day or another Waller might come back to get his revenge. And who will be the fitting partner if not Dominik Mysterio? Although Dominik Mysterio debuted alongside his father, he turned on him after Rey Mysterio’s Clash at the Castle match. Since then Dominik Mysterio has become Dirty Dom. Although he did face a lot of backlash from Rey Mysterio fans, soon he ended up becoming a fan-favorite heel.

With the absence of Rhea Ripley, will Dominik Mysterio turn to Grayson Waller to defeat his father? Only time will tell whether these two heels will form a tag team together to settle their scores with The Master of 619.
