After the historic TKO Merger last week, fans expected a streamlined future for the organization, but the opposite has happened.
WWE unceremoniously released Mustafa Ali recently, confirmed by the star himself on social media. This was days before his title match against Dominik Mysterio at the No Mercy PLE on September 30th. Though the exact reason behind the exit is pending, it’s still shocking news.
But that was just the beginning. The company has now released over 10 superstars, in a bizarre move. However, it’s Ziggler’s exit that has jolted fans worldwide. Interestingly, his brother, Ryan Nemeth, who was once a part of NXT and is currently in AEW, dropped a rather implicit hint at what’s in store for his brother’s future on his handle.
In the picture below, fans can see the duo holding AEW tag team belts, hinting at an optimistic sight for the former champion, perhaps at AEW. Check out the post below:

If he does join, it’ll certainly help Tony Khan, because, post the firing of CM Punk, he could use some much-needed star power. While the future at AEW still hangs in the balance, Ziggler’s legacy has left no choice for other superstars but to acknowledge him on social media.
Megastars of the industry laud Dolph Ziggler
Though several superstars like Big E expressed their love for Ziggler, it’s John Cena and Dwayne Johnson who stole the show.
The Rock took to his X handle and lauded Ziggler for an astonishing career and claimed to be a ‘supporter’ and a ‘fan’ of the superstar. Even Cena, who shared a rich rivalry with Ziggler over the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2012, appreciated Ziggler on X.

He kept the message brief, talking about the 43-year-old’s tenacity and longevity. Cena also highlighted the number of matches the ‘show off’ has wrestled in his career, a whopping 1054.
