There’s one thing that’s in common between Dolph Ziggler and Renee Young. Both of them share a deep rooted passion for comedy in addition to being pioneers in the world of professional wrestling.
While Ziggler embarked upon his stand up comedy gig after making his mark as a WWE Superstar, Renee was an improv artist before becoming a WWE broadcaster. At this juncture of their careers, both of them were forced to confront this part of their lives.
It all started when an interviewer made a sincere request to Ziggler on Twitter. He invited Dolph as a guest for his Skype interview, that he claimed has hosted the likes of Renee Young, Mickie James, Kurt Angle, and Kevin Owens.

Dolph accepted this generous offer. However, staying true to his wit, he threw some shade at his friend Renee Young.

Renee Young responds to Dolph Ziggler’s insult
Renee wouldn’t take this barb sitting down and decided to continue the roast battle. Taking a dig at Ziggler’s comedy, she warned AJ about the downsides of the interview; he would have to laugh at the substandard jokes by Ziggler.
Ugh poor kid, now he’s gotta pretend to laugh at your jokes! You got this AJ!

Dolph sent out a heartbroken response, confirming that the entire exchange was in good spirit.

Talking about their respective career trajectories, we see a stark difference. Renee just had a turning point as she left the WWE. The future is uncertain for her and she’s certainly excited for what it has to offer.

Alas, the same can’t be said for poor Dolph. He is the most stagnant he has ever been on the WWE roster. To be completely honest, he’s playing the same role on Raw that Baron Corbin is on SmackDown – they’ve been tasked with creating new stars.
Unfortunately, that means he’s at the losing end of feuds more often than not. We can only hope that Ziggler rises up to his potential.
