Crown Jewel was one of the best and most power-packed PLEs in the WWE in a long time. From Seth Rollins retaining his title again to Logan Paul winning his first-ever championship in the WWE, last night was full of surprises. But most fans were deeply saddened, as LA Knight didn’t emerge victorious as the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion last night.

LA Knight was clearly the crowd favorite last night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Saudi crowd was right behind LA Knight, right from the get-go. There were moments where they even chanted “Yeah” every time Knight punched Roman Reigns.

Sadly, Reigns got the better of Knight and won that title bout with some assistance from the dastardly Jimmy Uso. After this battle of the titans, fans have just one question. Will LA Knight continue his heated feud with The Tribal Chief? Well, backstage reports suggest the answer to that is: no. Roman Reigns is going to miss Survivor Series as Triple H doesn’t want him to overshadow the plans for the PLE. So then we are left with the Royal Rumble that takes place in January.

According to Sports Illustrated, WWE has no plans yet for LA Knight to win the Royal Rumble 2024. The winner of the Royal Rumble is traditionally awarded a title match for WWE’s top championship at WrestleMania. This means that we will also not get to see a Knight vs Reigns as the main event for WrestleMania 40. While Knight is one of WWE’s hottest commodities right now, some people in the creative department feel that he has reached his peak and can’t go any higher.

Will their decision change in the coming weeks depending on Knight’s soaring popularity? We will only have to wait and watch. But if not Knight, who can be Roman Reigns’ opponent at WrestleMania 40?

Cody Rhodes has a strong chance of having a title shot at WrestleMania 40

If there is one person who deserves a title shot and that too at The Grandest Stage of Them All, it has to be ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes. A title win at WrestleMania 40 would be an apt way to “finish the story”.
