Roman Reigns belongs to the legendary Anoai family tree and has a hundred cousins all together. While it’s quite impossible to navigate through all of their life histories, we can simply check the popular ones’ if they have any similar diseases like their brother or not.
Rosey, Reigns’ late cousin, had a four-year stint in the Stamford-based company and also had some successful years under the indie rings. Despite playing some highly entertaining gimmicks in the Ruthless Aggression era, the late star has remained mostly underrated throughout his career and eventually got released from WWE back in 2006.
A few years later, on April 17, 2017, the elder brother of Reigns tragically passed away due to congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. But he has reportedly no problems with his blood, unlike his brother.
Another fallen cousin of Reigns was Yokozuna, who was very shrewd in the ring and was widely known to be a great performer. He was found dead in his hotel room in Liverpool on October 23rd, 2000. The culprit was a fatal pulmonary edema.

Roman Reigns’ current leukemia status decoded
Reigns left the entire wrestling universe in deep grief, revealing his long-grown fight with leukemia in 2018. However, the tribal chief returned in 2020 to let the world know that he had triumphed over the disease. He’s been rather private about the battle ever since. Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Reigns gave a brief update on his condition, noting he still has to take some medication to prevent the chance of a third relapse.

‘I think adversity is a key ingredient to any success story. For leukemia, if you caught it at an early enough stage like I did, you’re able to take, essentially, a medication, a very potent medication that I’m still on to this day’, Reigns noted in his A&E Biography.
The former Undisputed Universal Champion will reportedly be back in the ring during Summer Slam. What’s your take on Roman Reigns’ family history with leukemia? Let us know in the comments.
