The world of pro wrestling stood when the 2014 main event, WrestleMania’s headline match, ended. The end of the match also bought an end to The Undertaker’s two-decade-long winning streak in WrestleMania. It is still one of the most shocking moments in pro-wrestling history.
Many fans didn’t like the decision taken by WWE to end The Deadman’s streak. Not only fans but even WWE superstars and veterans also think that Taker’s streak should’ve remained. And if the streak was meant to be broken, Brock Lesnar really wasn’t the right choice for it.

WWE legend Jake Roberts, who also used to go by the name Jake ‘the Snake’ in WWE, also thinks that Brock Lesnar wasn’t the right guy for the job. In the most recent episode of the DDP Snake Pit podcast, Roberts opened up about The Undertaker’s streak. According to Roberts, they have given the opportunity to end the streak to someone who needed a push.

Jake Roberts said, “Why waste it? Because it wasn’t needed. Lesnar was already a monster, right?” Brock Lesnar was already an established superstar at that time. According to Roberts, if the company had picked a superstar who wasn’t at that level, then it would be more entertaining. Roberts thinks the WWE has wasted a good chance by giving Brock Lesnar the opportunity to break the streak.
Jake Roberts thinks that Roman Reigns should have been the one
Like many fans of The Tribal Chief, Roberts also thinks that Roman Reigns was the right guy for the job. Roman Reigns was a rising superstar at that time and, according to Roberts, it would’ve been a great push for The Big Dog. “You know what they got out of that the way they did it? Disgust.” Clearly Jake the Snake didn’t like the decision very much.

According to McMahon, Lesnar was on the same level as The Undertaker and it would’ve been unfair to The Deadman’s gimmick if someone else did it.
