It is a well-known fact that professional wrestling is largely scripted. However, the maneuvers used could sometimes be very dangerous. That was what happened with former WWE champion Big E last year. A belly-to-belly suplex by Ridge Holland at ringside caused a career-threatening injury to the performer.
And now the New Day member has come up with possibly a disappointing update on his comeback to the ring. After recuperating for a year, he is due for scans of his neck. It is a make-or-break moment for the wrestler and he has hinted at his career in the WWE perhaps coming to an abrupt end.

He interacted with TMZ Sports recently and opened up on his chances of a comeback. The former WWE champion said, “Na, I mean I just wanna make the best decision. It’s just I gotta see what the scans say and then talk to doctors and go from there but right now before I know anything I’m not gonna make any, you know, rushed judgments or anything so just see how everything looks.”
On any anxieties before the scans Big E responded, “Yeah no anxiety at all, everything is impermanent so if it comes to an end cool if it doesn’t cool. What will be will be, I’m good with whatever.”
The injury occurred on the March 11th, 2022 episode of SmackDown. The heavyweight wrestler landed awkwardly after a belly-to-belly suplex from Holland. The severity of his issue prompted the WWE officials to immediately rush the performer to the nearest medical facility.

It has been a year since the incident and fans are waiting with bated breath for what will be the results of Big E’s upcoming scans. However, he is not the only member of the New Day who is missing out on the action with an injury.
Big E not the only New Day member currently injured
Kofi Kingston is the other one who is suffering from a problem in his right leg. He was supposed to be a part of the entertaining fatal-five-way match on the latest edition of the blue brand. Instead, Xavier Woods stepped into the encounter on behalf of Kingston. The exact timeline of his return to action is not yet known.

Big E has been a part of the main roster for many years now. He has already cemented his legacy in the WWE and does not need to prove anything. The New Day member’s outlook toward his injury is understandable as he would be thankful for the fact that there was no lasting damage to his neck.
As much as fans would like their favorite superstar to compete in the ring, Big E knows that living life comfortably is much more important than wrestling. And he is okay with the outcome of his scans either way. We wish the star all the best in his upcoming scans and hope he recovers soon.
