How could WWE let down a disabled fan like this? Is this the kind of company we support?

WWE regularly hosts forms of competitions and contests with the provision that the winner will get the opportunity to meet a WWE superstar or attend a WWE event. The Stamford-based wrestling promotion recently held a similar sort of contest. However, it appears that they did not give away the winnings this time. The fan who won the sweepstakes was informed by the promotion that he would receive two tickets to the upcoming WWE PLE Money in the Bank.

Despite WWE’s promises, they failed to deliver on it to the fan. After one day of making him happy, the next day they informed him that they would be unable to complete the contest’s prize. The fan was disabled due to an amputated leg, and he alerted WWE in advance that he would require special accommodations in the arena, such as a wheelchair and greater seat space.

Even though the fan informed WWE in advance, it appears that the company’s administration could not secure a suitable location for the wheelchair. This caused them to cancel the fan’s award. Understandably, the wrestling fan was distraught to hear such news. He and his wife had previously prepared everything because they would have to travel a long distance to get to the show. However, it looks like all the planning has gone in vain.

The fan turned to Twitter and narrated his story. He said that he was meant to meet WWE superstars like Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and even the current WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. In a separate post, the user admitted his delight at the wave of kindness that the WWE Universe had engulfed him in after they heard his woes. But did the Stamford-based wrestling promotion make a genuine effort to placate the woes of the winning fan?

Nothing would appear to mend the broken heart of the fan in question after he came so close to achieving his dream. He will not only miss out on meeting his favorite WWE superstar, but it’s unlikely he will receive a Money in The Bank PLE ticket as he had envisioned. Nevertheless, the fan won’t return empty-handed as a part of the contest, as the wrestling promotion has offered him the chance to receive the cash value of the prize, which comes up to $301.99. However, that won’t completely soothe the disappointment of the fan after they promised him the world. This has enraged many fans, and it appears that this story is now receiving a lot of attention in the wrestling industry. What remains to be seen is if the promotion will act by putting things right or ignore the calls of one of their biggest supporters.
