The WWE has had many characters light up their business. But, few managed to capture the intrigue of audiences like The Undertaker. The dark outfit, paired with an aura of mystique surrounding him, really spooked a lot of viewers. But, the same factors also contributed to why everyone loved him so much.
Recently, Mark Callaway, the man underneath the darkness shared some sad news about the return of ‘The Undertaker’. Fans, who grew up watching The Phenom, might not get to see him, ever again. But, the WWE star also had a good reason to make the decision.

In a recent interview with BT sport’s Ariel Helwani, The Undertaker reflected on his journey as a living legend of the WWE. Taker explained why he’ll never wear the iconic coat and hat again, even for a one-off occasion, including WrestleMania.
Callaway said, “Now that I’m, you know, people know that I can talk and that I have … actual thoughts that aren’t revolved around digging holes and taking souls.”
Therefore, Callaway believes that his real-life persona was out in the public for way too long. Now, people won’t associate him with being a brooding tall figure of mass destruction.
Therefore, The Undertaker can’t have the same gravitas, as he used to. The Phenom added, “I think you know that character will live forever in our memory but I don’t think that I can I can bring it back.”

The fans must thank Callaway for all the iconic memories, associated with him in character. They should feel content with his years as a star of the WWE when he exerted his dominance, during an era of heroes that include Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Triple H, and other veterans of the game.

But, since his retirement, the American Badass only made selective appearances and chose to honor his legacy. Recently, he made a huge difference at the RAW 30th-anniversary event but chose to keep the coat and hat at home. Therefore, fans should cherish the memories they have and wish health and success to Mr. Callaway.
