“Didn’t Want a Puff Piece”: $2.4 Billion Worth Vince McMahon Reportedly Gave Netflix Green Signal to Include His Wild Life in and Out of WWE

The former CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon has lived a life, that many dreams of. The man who turned pro wrestling from a territorial business to a global phenomenon will soon be getting his own Netflix documentary. A new update now reveals that McMahon gave his approval to include the wild parts of his life in the series.

The documentary about one of pro wrestling’s most enigmatic personalities has been in production for two years. Netflix and WWE have been working together to give people a deeper look into the life of Vince McMahon. And now there is some update that will excite the fans for sure.

Vince McMahon Gave Netflix Thumbs Up To Include Exciting Details From His Life

Vince McMahon led WWE from the shadows of the territorial system to the top of the wrestling world. Indeed, he made individuals like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, The Rock, and many more into household names.

Over the years, fans have had a sneak peek into the life of the Daddy Mac. But now a new Netflix documentary will help them dive deeper into his life. The streaming giants first announced a documentary about the former WWE boss in 2020. However, they put it on hold after hush money allegations came to light against McMahon in July of this year.

But now Netflix is moving ahead with the Docuseries and have the blessings of the old man himself to go all in. Now a report in Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given a fresh update on the progress of the Netflix documentary.

Dave Meltzer revealed that McMahon gave the studio the green light to go all in on the docuseries, saying anything else would be boring. He stated, “What we know about the Netflix documentary on Vince McMahon is that it has been worked on for two years. And Vince himself made it clear that he didn’t want a puff piece on him, saying that would be boring. 

Meltzer added, “It was scheduled to be a four-part series of one hour shows but as you can imagine with two years of work on such a project that it would be hard to cut it to that length so we’ll see. But there’s no word on when it will be released.”

It seems after the documentary hit a snag following the $2.4 billion man Vince McMahon facing hush money allegations; it is back on track.
