WWE Superstar, Brock Lesnar is referred to as one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of WWE. Lesnar has achieved a lot in his career; from being an amateur wrestler to becoming ‘The Beast’, he has done it all.
However, his true aim was to become a professional NFL player, which came alarmingly close to doing in 2004. In 2002, Brock Lesnar made his professional wrestling debut in WWE. Soon he became the youngest WWE Champion. However, at WrestleMania 20, Lesnar lost his title to Goldberg. After that, Brock announced his break from WWE and moved ahead to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a professional football player.

Following his departure from the WWE, Lesnar started practicing in Arizona to attract NFL teams. Brock Lesnar put in some incredible stats at the NFL Draft Combine. The Minnesota Vikings selected him as a defensive tackle for the practice squad.

The Vikings picked him despite having no prior essential exposure in professional football. During the draft, he reportedly ran a 4.7-second 40-yard sprint, a 35-inch vertical jump, and 30 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press, which are impressive numbers for a rookie.

But Brock met with a nasty motorcycle accident that left him with a fractured jaw, a bruised pelvis, and a pulled groin. The accident meant that he couldn’t give everything during his tryouts.
Was Lesnar a part of the main squad for the Minnesota Vikings?
Unfortunately, Lesnar trained with the Minnesota Vikings for two months but was left off the final roster. Brock Lesnar had a short-run career in the NFL field and only played in the preseason for the Vikings. But he never made it to the actual season when the time came.
Sadly, Brock Lesnar could not achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a professional footballer. Even because of the injury and several elements combined to lead to Lesnar’s failed quest to make it big in the NFL.

However, The Minnesota Vikings offered Brock to play and represent them in the NFL Europa. But Brock Lesnar decided against the move as he wanted to stay in the United States. He also preferred exploring a future in Mixed Martial Arts. Lesnar was dedicated to proving himself in the NFL, but his career as a pro footballer was short-lived. However, even though his exposure on the football field was a quick run, Brock Lesnar has proved his might and worth in combat sports.

Following Lesnar’s exit from the NFL, he defeated the all-time legendary “The Natural” Randy Couture at UFC 91 to win the UFC Heavyweight title. Brock Lesnar has battled his ways against the odds to become one of the best in the sports business.
