Last month, several rumors emerged that spoke of a serious injury received by Rhea Ripley that would force her to give up her world title. Unfortunately, those rumors were confirmed right at the beginning of an episode of RAW, when the Eradicator showed up in the ring with a conspicuous brace on her right arm and in a less-than-good mood.
She announced that she would be vacating her title, and she has been missing from television ever since. However, Buddy Matthews, Ripley’s fiance, just shared a post on social media that shows that Mami is healing and relaxing herself, possibly on a beach. However, what seemed to catch a lot of attention was a tattoo on Ripley’s leg. And it isn’t just any other tattoo. But one that seemed like it was a tribute to the late Bray Wyatt.
Did Ripley get a Bray Wyatt tribute tattoo?

Rhea Ripley is known for her gothic way of life. And her tattoos sure reflect that. Mami has several tattoos, and one of them became a hot topic of discussion online on social media. Buddy Matthews took to X, where he shared a picture of himself resting his head on the lower back of Mami while the two enjoyed the beach. And on the left thigh of Mami, fans can see a tattoo of a moth. But not just any other moth, as it looked eerily similar to the one that was used as a symbol for WWE’s sinister entity, Bray Wyatt. In fact, it is still being used by Uncle Howdy. So several users took to the comment section, believing that Ripley might’ve paid tribute to the head of the Wyatt family.

However, to their dismay, it doesn’t seem to be the case. If you look closely, the tattoo on the leg is seemingly from the book ‘Silence of the Lambs’ instead. Ripley, being a gothic and horror fan, decided to take inspiration from the 1988 psychological horror novel by Thomas Harris. But while fans would be disappointed to know that it wasn’t a tribute, at least they can find solace in the fact that Mami is a lot more relaxed right now and working on her injury by giving herself a much-deserved rest after a title reign that lasted more than a year. But when will she make her return?
Ripley might be back by Summerslam
Let’s take a step back—a big step back. To be precise, let’s go back to October 2007. Due to an injury, then WWE Champion John Cena was forced to vacate the title. An injury that then led to Cena’s famous lightning recovery, with the much-remembered and appreciated return to the 2008 Royal Rumble. And guess what? Before vacating the belt, Cena was champion for 380 days. 380, which seems like an unlucky number for champions in WWE given that, as we all know, exactly like John Cena in 2007, Rhea Ripley also had to forcibly raise the white flag and vacate her Women’s World Championship right after 380 days of reign.

However, like Cena, Mami has promised that she will come back stronger than before to take back what is hers. And she will do so once she is healed. But how long will it take?
Based on the details we know about the injury, it seems that it takes 4-6 weeks for one to recover the mobility of their shoulder and arm. And then start with rehabilitation and recovery, a process that will take about 3 months in total. So we can hope to see Rhea again in time for SummerSlam which will be held on August 3rd. And possibly in a match against Liv Morgan, the one who injured her. What do you think? Will Mami face Morgan when she returns? Let us know in the comments.
