The WWE Hall of Fame is a marquee event that sets the tone for WrestleMania. It takes place immediately after Friday night’s SmackDown as spectators stay back to witness the superstars get elevated to legends. However, a 2x WWE Hall of Famer has claimed that the prestigious event has lost its charm in recent years.

Kevin Nash equates recent Hall of Fame ceremony with a segment from Raw

While many WWE legends have been inducted once, Kevin Nash is part of an elite group of pro-wrestlers to have been honored twice by the Stamford-based company. Big Kev was first inducted as an individual in 2015 and later as part of the legendary nWo in 2020.

In 2022 and with the recent event this year, the WWE has inducted two of the biggest performers in the history of pro-wrestling. Vince McMahon himself inducted The Undertaker in 2022, while WCW legend Konnan had the honor of introducing legendary luchador Rey Mysterio this year.

Despite such big names, it did not impress the 6x World Champion. He compared the Hall of Fame ceremony as a segment from Raw. “It just doesn’t feel, one of the things about the hall of fame it usually feels like an award show and this feels like a segment 5 on RAW,” Nash said during a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast.

The WWE legend also shared his thoughts on the mega-event that followed the Hall of Fame ceremony, WrestleMania.

The former nWo member also spoke about the recent WrestleMania, which took place on April 1 and 2 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

In the main event on day 2, Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Champion title. While some were not happy with the outcome, Nash thought otherwise.

Big Kev said Roman Reigns is too close to his 1,000-day reign and must get a chance to complete the once-in-a-lifetime record. He even recalled MLB legend Cal Ripken’s record of most consecutive matches played to bolster his argument.

“That close to 1,000 [days], you have to do it. It’d be I’d like [Cal] Ripken had turf toe and would have f**king just taken a day off. There’s certain milestones, and right now, he’s too close to 1,000,” the 6x World Champion said.
