Despite Their Ugly Public Feud, Dwayne Johnson Once Caught This Famous Actor Off-Guard on Set Which Became Iconic Among Fans

Hollywood’s dazzling world isn’t without its share of clashes and controversies. This is often magnified by the media. The much-talked-about feud between Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock,” and Tyrese Gibson, a familiar face from the Fast & Furious series, was a prime example. Before their public disagreements, an unrehearsed exchange on set surprised both fans and fellow actors.

The Rock’s improvised comedic comeback

Ludacris was present on an episode of I Hate Watching Myself. He reacted to iconic scenes spanning throughout his career. One scene popped up from the Fast & Furious franchise. In this particular scene, The Rock made a comedic comeback To Gibson. According to Ludacris, this scene was completely unscripted and according to him, he played a major part in it.

As the scene ended Ludacris said that a lot of people didn’t know that he was the one who suggested Johnson to say that line. “A lot of people don’t know I whispered to The Rock and I told him that he needed to say that and I didn’t think he was going to do it because it wasn’t written in the script at all” he said. He further added that Gibson used to joke a lot on the set and no one was expecting that comeback from Johnson.

Ludacris concluded by saying that his reaction in the iconic scene is in fact 100% genuine and he cannot make that up. However, fans were speculating that this response led to the start of a feud between these popular actors.

The feud between Gibson and Johnson

The beginning of this story traces back to the release of Hobbs and Shaw. It was a spin-off of the Fast & Furious series which starred Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the titular role. The movie didn’t do well at the box office as everyone expected and Tyrese Gibson mocked the box office earnings of the movie. Gibson seized the chance to ridicule the wrestler-turned-actor. Johnson didn’t take kindly to the comment, leading him to distance himself from Roman Pearce of the “Fast & Furious” series.

Gibson felt disappointed by Dwayne Johnson’s departure from the franchise, and he openly expressed his discontent. Recently, he has tried making amends with Johnson with a special message for him on his Instagram. This special message also hinted at Johnson’s comeback to the Fast & Furious franchise.
