Hollywood, in 2022, has some of the fittest actors. Actors these days tend to stay fit, so they do not fade away from the limelight. However, one Hollywood superstar does not stay fit for that reason, but he stays fit because he wants to. Dwayne Johnson possesses an incredible physique and takes extreme care of it.

The highest-paid actor in the world, Johnson, gives a lot of dedication to his figure and craft. His latest film Black Adam released a couple of weeks ago, and the fans loved it. Although, it received negative responses from critics. And, for the film, ‘The Rock’ had to give in extra effort behind the production, his acting, script, and his physique.

However, in spite of such heavy workout sessions and training, his figure is devoid of one thing. And that is abs. Dwayne Johnson has one of the most impressive figures in the entire entertainment industry, however, he does not have abs.

His former WWE rival John Cena also possesses one of the best physiques. Cena has a chiseled physique with abs. Despite spending around 3-4 hours and sometimes 6 hours in the gym, Johnson has not yet been able to achieve the abs that Cena and Schwarzenegger have. However, there is a reason behind it.

However, during an interview with Wired, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt came together to promote their film, Jungle Cruise. It was here that Johnson revealed why he does not have abs. When the question was asked, “What’s wrong with The Rock’s abs?”, Johnson answered it.

Initially, he claimed that there was nothing wrong with them. He said that he often finds Instagram models having amazing abs however, he only has a four-and-a-half-pack. ‘The Rock’ explained how an injury from his wrestling days altered the way his stomach and abs look.

He said, “The problem was, which a lot of people don’t know, in a wrestling match, I tore the top of my quad off my pelvis. That caused a chain reaction and it tore my abdomen wall. So then I had to do a triple hernia emergency surgery.” The ‘Brahma Bull’ stated that this surgery changed the way his abs look.

What does Dwayne Johnson’s workout routine look like?

The kind of body that Dwayne Johnson has requires an extreme level of determination and hard work. And, he does give in his 100% every time he trains. Self-proclaimed as the ‘Hardest worker in the room’, Johnson has achieved everything with his own hard work.

He works out daily from 3 to 4 hours to even 6 hours. And the results are very much visible. He splits his routine into legs, back, shoulders, arms/abs, legs, and chest. His workout schedule is based on a system called pyramiding. Here, it means starting with low weights and high reps and then cutting down the reps while increasing the weights. Johnson also does a lot of stretching and a little bit of cardio during his sessions.
