Despite Ronda Rousey’s Victory That “Ruined” Their Night, WWE Universe Were Thrilled to See Injured Star “Return” on SmackDown, Sooner Than Ever

The latest edition of SmackDown saw Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler face off against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a very physical matchup with the titles at stake. ‘The Unholy Union’ captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship a few months ago. And their call-up to the main roster did not see them dropping their Championships. They defended the titles against the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler in a winner takes all match. 

After a hard-fought battle, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler vanquished ‘The Unholy Union’ and unified the Women’s Tag Team Championships, much to the chagrin of the WWE Universe. However, the surprise return from Liv Morgan following the match lit up the fans. 

Liv Morgan makes a delightful return

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn found themselves on the receiving end of an embarrassing loss after tapping out simultaneously to Rousey and Baszler’s respective submission holds. However, Rousey and Baszler did not have time to celebrate as they were interrupted by Raquel Rodriguez. 

As Raquel Rodriguez looked on at the title she never lost, Liv Morgan made her delightful return, sparking a massive reaction from the crowd. It should be noted that Rodriguez and Morgan were recently forced to relinquish their Women’s Tag Team Championships due to the latter’s shoulder injury. 

But now, by the looks of it, it’s safe to assume that Liv Morgan has healed up quickly. The duo then proceeded to lock eyes with Rousey the Baszler before the latter team left the ring. At this point, all signs point toward a potential tag team match between the two teams for the unified Women’s Tag Team Championship. Although Rousey and Baszler emerged victorious, their win was not well-received by the fans in attendance. 

While fans cheer for Liv Morgan, they also criticize Ronda Rousey

It’s not uncommon for Ronda Rousey to face criticism from the fans every now and then. Despite being a decorated WWE superstar, Rousey gets flak for not being a home-grown talent. The WWE Universe were having no part of Rousey and Baszler before becoming ebullient at the return of Liv Morgan.

Nevertheless, it’s conspicuous that Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are going to chase the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
