If there is one thing that John Cena is known for, it’s his verbal attacks that do way more damage than his physical ones. On today’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, he didn’t have to lay a finger on Solo Sikao to obliterate him inside the ring. Only his words were enough. Plus, he resorted to using the name of an AEW star to hurl his insults toward his opponent in the upcoming Crown Jewel bout.

John Cena said Solo Sikoa is in WWE only because of Roman Reigns

On the 11/03 edition of the blue brand, Cena and Sikoa stood face to face inside the ring just one day before their match at Crown Jewel. ‘The Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect Soldier’ had a raspy voice because of the Samoan Spike he fell victim to last Friday on SmackDown.

Despite this, he viciously insulted Sikoa. He told him he only got a job in WWE because of his cousin Roman Reigns. In addition, he called him “a bargain basement Taz rip-off “ and left the ring. Mute and bewildered, Sikao stood frozen in place, struggling to comprehend the insult that Cena had hurled at him.

Taz currently works in AEW as a commentator and manager. After ‘The Prototype’ namedropped him on SmackDown today, he reacted to the segment on X(formerly known as Twitter).

WWE stars namedropping AEW stars is not common in WWE. It’s usually the other way around. That said, after Cena casually called out Taz’s name to insult Sikoa on the blue brand show this week, the AEW commentator went to social media to react to the segment. Going to X, he wrote, “U can’t see me.”

Last week too, Cena had made a similar comment on the blue brand show. In addition, on Dynamite this week, Cena was the one who was name-dropped on the show. Somewhere in between the show, AEW had to advertise the new rendition of Wipeout. Cena is going to host the show along with television comedian Nicole Byer.
