Time after time, he has proved why one should know the ramifications of crossing paths with him. He possesses such incredible strength that he can demolish his rivals without even breaking a sweat. However, the one who always dominates once ended up getting dominated by his college rival.
A moment Brock Lesnar will never forget in his life

In his book, Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival, Lesnar talked about the embarrassing incident that took place when he was 22. At the 2000 NCAA Wrestling Finals at Heavyweight, he faced the University of Iowa Heavyweight, Wes Hand, who gave him the only loss during his senior year.

He mentioned Hand had fought against him a few times in his junior year. Thus, he had figured out his moves. This gave his opponent an upper hand during the match and he dominated Lesnar throughout the match. That’s how Hand ended up giving ‘The Beast’ a beating that is imprinted on his mind forever.
He said, “Wes Hand beat me 5–4. I don’t have to tell you that I was humiliated—again. I wasn’t five years old anymore, but my mom still chewed me out. She was big on tough love, and I deserved the a**chewing.” His mom gave him one hell of a reprimand for losing the match. But he believed he deserved it.
On one hand, his mom was furious with him for losing his match. On the other, he was disappointed in himself for the same.
Lesnar’s disappointment fueled the fire inside him and motivated him to work harder
In his book, he mentioned that Wes Hand beating him made him sick to his stomach. The night of the match, he went to a steakhouse for dinner, but he couldn’t even finish his steak. His mind was so diverted by his loss that he couldn’t eat properly.

Continuing further, he confessed that loss was the best thing that could have happened to him. It was because it motivated him to push himself and made him work harder than ever before. As a result, he bounced back to defeat Hand in the finals and claimed the Big Ten Championship.
