WWE SummerSlam wrapped up a few hours ago. For several fans, the results of the feuds were satisfying. Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar also faced each other inside the ring for the third time. Before this, the score was 1-1. So, it was important for the promotion to set up a match to settle the score for good.

After Rhodes was successful in defeating his opponent at the PLE, Lesnar started acting strange. Apart from accepting a fair defeat, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ also extended his hand in sportsmanship toward his opponent. During the emotional moment, he also removed his gloves, signaling to fans that this might be it for him. However, he might not be done just yet.

After getting destroyed in the first half of the match, ‘The American Nightmare’ got back to his senses. Then, he handled the beastly wrestler so well that the latter eventually had to give in, resulting in his loss. However, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ didn’t hold any grudge. In fact, he had a newfound respect for his opponent. So, he extended a hand, hugged Rhodes, and declared his victory in the middle of the arena.

This moment also saw Lesnar removing his wrestling gloves. Worried, his fans thought that this was a sign from the wrestler that it was the end of the road for him. But insider reports suggest otherwise.

Appearing on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez paid attention to the fan sentiment following the incident. Alvarez quickly cleared up that “Brock’s not done.” Then, Dave Meltzer also added to his comment, saying, “Oh no. He’s advertised for Fastlane. So I don’t know if that’s when he returns. He’s not gonna be gone for a little while, is what I was told, but not a long while. Whatever that means.

The pro wrestling journalist cleared out to Lesnar’s fans that the 286 lbs monster isn’t quitting WWE anytime soon. However, fans were not wrong to worry. Rumors of ‘The Beast’ retiring have been floating around for some time, starting with the 46-year-old’s own comment in a high-profile interview with ESPN’s Daniel Cormier.

Brock Lesnar opened up on the second night of WrestleMania 39. After winning his match against the WWE giant, Omos, Brock Lesnar sat down in an interview with Cormier. The two former UFC fighters were talking about Lesnar’s future in the promotion. To that, Lesnar replied, “I don’t know. I don’t know how much more… I don’t know how long I’m gonna be around.

This was the first instance that confused his fans regarding his future appearances. This statement combined with his scarce appearances in WWE, made fans anxious about him wanting to leave WWE soon. To add fuel to the fire, rumors also suggested the same thing.

However, now it looks like Brock Lesnar’s fans don’t have to worry much about him leaving the wrestling promotion anytime soon. Even if he won’t be appearing weekly that often, he is set as one of the faces of WWE Fastlane. So, the wrestler would most probably stick around till October 2023.
