All fans are aware of the direct competition that WWE shares with All Elite Wrestling. There have been several ‘wars’ between the two companies despite the short history. A lot of WWE stars have also jumped to AEW in recent years while the Stamford-based promotion got a major name in Cody Rhodes switching back to them after his AEW stint.
In any such argument concerning the two promotions, many would expect a WWE Hall of Famer to support the talents of his ‘home’ company. However, Kevin Nash recently spoke in support of his favorite AEW star, leaving major WWE talent out of the conversation. Nash didn’t even touch the topic of WWE’s Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

There is no doubt that Reigns is an outstanding performer, but Nash’s choice also appears legit. Even though he has spoken about how he doesn’t watch AEW but to him, Kenny Omega stands out among the rest.
“It doesn’t change the fact that Kenny Omega is my favorite wrestler. Doesn’t change that at all,” said Nash in his very own podcast while mentioning his aversion for Tony Khan’s company. The reason why he loves Omega speaks for itself, given his achievements and style of wrestling
Omega has switched promotions and still maintained his reputation as a good wrestler. All of it made possibly made Nash overlook The Tribal Chief. But the Big Daddy Cool remains loyal to WWE.
Nash and Austin’s AEW pact
Before mentioning his favorite wrestler, Kevin Nash also talked about how he has stopped watching AEW. There have been several instances where the AEW president has publicly shown his envy for the leading sports entertainment company.
This even included him and popular sports journalist Ariel Helwani getting involved in a feud. Perhaps this was the reason that WWE Hall of Famers stopped watching the rival promotion.
“Steve Austin and I got a pact that he’s not watching it, therefore I’m not watching it and what I can tell by Twitter is [Undertaker] is now not watching it,” justified the 63-year-old. Although it is a funny detail to see him and Steve Austin making a pact to ignore the promotion, as far as talent goes, Nash does not know how to discriminate.
