Hulk Hogan had several lower back surgeries after he hung his boots. As per The Hulkster, he had 12 surgeries to make his back pain-free. It was the toll he took on his body through the leg drops he delivered and the slams he took during his career.

A year ago, Ric Flair launched his own podcast, ‘Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED’. On the very first episode, he recalled Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart came to see him when Naitch was in a coma. While remembering the same, The Nature Boy shed a light on Hogan’s battle with his back injury.
Flair said, “He’s having some really bad health issues but he keeps up with me. We support each other, good and bad. When I was in the hospital he flew up that day like everybody else that came up to see me.
Naitch added, “Hulk was gracious, Jimmy Hart was great. I don’t remember seeing them because I was in a coma but they made the effort to go. Those are the kind of things that mean a lot.” (H/T TJR Wrestling)
Over the years, The Immortal one had several surgeries and at one point even had a simulator attached to his spine. The simulator helped to reduce the pain and get Hogan some relief while he prepared for the next surgery.

Jimmy Hart later shared Hulk Hogan’s health update
Sometime after Flair’s podcast, wrestling legend Jimmy Hart, who was also Hogan’s longtime wrestling manager, appeared on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw. He gave an update on Hogan’s recovery.
Hart said, “Well, he’s doing a lot better. Still, after 12 back surgeries, hips, and knees, he’s doing so much better. He’s been taking this therapy every week and it’s been really improving him more and more so he can get up and get about pretty good now.”
After several years of moving to and fro hospitals, it seems the 12-time world champion is fine. In the past few months, he is enjoying handling his beach shop and restaurant ‘Hogan’s Hangout’.
Hulk Hogan once sued the hospital for ineffective procedures
A few years prior to 2013, Hulk Hogan started feeling more pain in his lower back. Hence, after a friend’s recommendation, he visited the Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute. However, after some time, he sued the hospital for ineffective procedures that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hogan’s lawsuit said, “The repeated additional but unnecessary and ineffective surgeries performed by defendants resulted in significant bone loss and increased spinal instability.”
