We entered the latter half of the year 2023 a few months ago and now, only a handful of WWE’s PLEs remain for the rest of the year. ‘Crown Jewel’ is one of the marquee events that WWE plans for this year. Fans are excited as for the second time this year, the promotion is returning to Saudi Arabia. The event is supposed to be included in the 10-year partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia.
Although Crown Jewel is still more than a month away, stars are confirming their presence in advance. So far, Riyadh’s official Twitter account has confirmed John Cena’s appearance. And now, another fan-favorite superstar has a message for the fans of the sport based in the Middle Eastern country.

Last SmackDown showed us John Cena teaming up with AJ Styles to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. The four of them were supposed to be present inside the ring to sign the contract to wrestle at Fastlane. However, the Samoan wrestlers injured Styles badly backstage. As a result, Cena was left alone with them without a partner. Without a second thought, a brawl started in which the WWE legend got dismantled as his rivals accepted the challenge.
According to reports, this was not how it was supposed to go. LA Knight was supposed to show up in the segment and also be featured in a dark match after the event’s telecast was over. There was also a belief that Knight would have been there to team up with Cena to fight off the Samoan brothers. But Knight, getting infected with Covid-19, was barred from joining the Peacekeeper at SmackDown. This also may jeopardize his potential entry at Fastlane.
