Despite Going Against His Own Team, WWE Legend Details How Vince McMahon Earned a Hefty Profit of Million Dollars: “He Was Right”

Vince McMahon has shaped the WWE’s destiny and the future of many other pro wrestlers. This has enabled the WWE to generate a lot of profit. His genius once again shone before the world when he decided to include an unlikely WWE Superstar in the main events of WWE. 

This WWE Superstar is none other than James Ellsworth. Ellsworth had a long pro wrestling career before joining the WWE. Recently, it was revealed how Vince McMahon went against the creative team to push James Ellsworth into the main events of WWE.

Road Dogg admits Vince McMahon was right about James Ellsworth

While Ellsworth has been fighting as a pro wrestler since 2002, he made his WWE debut in 2016 against Braun Strowman. He was known for his rivalry with Dean Ambrose and the former WWE Champion, AJ Styles. He was suddenly pushed into the WWE main events and even main-evented SmackDown, which surprised many people. The man behind this idea was none other than Vince McMahon. 

In his podcast “Oh…You Didn’t Know,” Road Dogg said, “Like it was Ellsworth and AJ, and Ellsworth and Dean Ambrose, what are we doing here? And it was like, ‘No, sir. No, we don’t want to put him in the main event again’, and he’s like, ‘God, you have to.’

He also added- “And he was right. Every week it did better and better; it was like people just had to see what we were going to do here, you know?”

Road Dogg said that despite his multiple protests, McMahon always put Ellsworth in the main events, which worked like magic as the fans were intrigued to see the underdog perform at the highest level and tuned in to the blue brand to see what happens next with Ellsworth.

James Ellsworth left the WWE in 2018. However, the star who believes in the strength of his two hands could make a comeback to feature alongside one of WWE’s most prominent wrestlers.

In a surprising turn of events, James Ellsworth has expressed his interest in making a WWE return, and he’s eyeing a potential alliance with none other than the formidable Rhea Ripley. The 33-year-old top star, has set his sights on getting involved in a romantic angle with the company’s strongest and most beloved wrestlers.

Ellsworth aligning himself in with Ripley, who already has an on-screen romantic partner in Dominik Mysterio will make for an interesting dynamic.
