Despite Generating $1.5 Billion Profits, Dwayne Johnson Rejects ‘Exit Plan’ That Would Guarantee Him Billionaire Status: “Hawaii for the Rest of Our Lives”

Given all the success and prosperity that Dwayne Johnson has acquired throughout his career, one would think that he is already a billionaire. But that isn’t true. Unlike Kylie Kardashian or Rihanna, Johnson has yet to reach the list of billionaires. Despite his countless blockbuster hits or his newest venture, XFL, there is another business that is about to make Johnson a billionaire.

The brand that Johnson started in the middle of the pandemic, Teremana Tequila, has now become a sensation in America. Everyone wants to have a glass of this premium tequila and it has truly taken off for Johnson. But now is the crucial moment where he could cash out and make a large sum, boosting him up to billionaire status, but he isn’t going to do that.

Despite Dwayne Johnson’s tequila brand being his jackpot to billionaire status, he has other plans for it

Hopping on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, Johnson talked about all things related to business. He even delved into the potential of growth through the WWE-UFC merger. When he talked about his own brand, Teremana Tequila, the host asked The Rock about his opinion about people telling him, “You gotta flip it, you gotta sell for an amazing sum to a spirits giant.”

Johnson replied, “There is no exit plan. The exit plan would sound great, it would be a splashy deal. Hey, billions of dollars and let’s just go to Hawaii for the rest of our lives. Right now, there’s no exit plan because as I had said before, years ago I spoke to you, I created Teremana to be a legacy brand. I’m a long gamer.”

From there, Johnson delves into his next phase for Teremana, extending it to the international market. His next milestone seems to be becoming an international tequila brand. Teremana has already generated profits of around $1.5 billion. We made this projection about Johnson’s brand being able to earn his billionaire status last year itself. But if not this business, what else could The Rock do to become a billionaire?

One of the biggest earning opportunities for Johnson has been his acting career. The amount of movies that Johnson has done over the years has comfortably put him among the highest-paid actors since 2018. But it doesn’t stop there, as Johnson owns a production house as well. Movies out of the production house also bring profits into Johnson’s pockets as well.

But there is another brand that hasn’t popped off yet. The ZOA energy drink could also grow to insurmountable heights. But there are many celebrity brands competing for the fastest-growing energy drink spot as well. Only the future will tell us when Johnson will become a billionaire anytime soon.
