Despite Dazzling Jim Ross With His Skills, WWE Legend Failed To Impress The Undertaker: “The Latest One To Complain Was Taker”

By 2002 arrived The Undertaker had become a locker room leader and a respected WWE veteran. The ‘American Badass’ requests and complaints were a top priority in the company. Similarly, Jim Ross recently shared the 2022 Hall of Famer addressing an issue with a WWE legend. 

Ross also gave the reason why ‘The Deadman’ had reached out to him to talk about the problem. He also shared how WWE resolved the issue.

The Undertaker had a brief issue with a WWE legend

The Invasion storyline brought in several WCW and ECW stars in WWE that Jim Ross had an eye on for months. However, ECW original Rob Van Dam’s extreme wrestling style once had The Undertaker concerned to get in the ring with him.

On the recent episode of Grilling Jr., the voice of professional wrestling recalled ‘Taker having an issue about RVD getting stiff in the ring. Conrad Thompson brought topic while talking about Van Dam vs Kurt Angle, where the Olympic hero was busted open.

Ross said, “Yeah, of course. Yeah. Out of respect to The Undertaker. I’m not gonna ignore him, right? So I and Undertaker would not have any issues with me going to RVD and say, ‘Hey, look, you’re getting a bad rep on stiff and people’.”

He added, “‘And the latest one to complain was Taker. Taker don’t complain about nothing. Unless there’s real, right? So you got to be more aware of some of the things you do that are marginal. If you dismiss it this much. We’re cool. But if you’re off this much, it’s dangerous.’”

Nevertheless, Ross doesn’t remember how the issue was resolved at the time. However, he stated the problem wasn’t as big as the media and the dirt sheets said it was. He recalls it was handled in a systematic way.

Kurt Angle shares the five-minute habit of RVD

The ‘Wrestling Machine’ recently shared a story of how RVD pitched ideas on the recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show. The Olympic Gold Medalist laughed out loud while sharing the contents of the story.

Angle shared that whenever WWE booked him for a match with RVD they used to talk about some unique ideas. However, Mr. Monday Night had a different approach to giving ideas through a 5-minute break. The former RAW General Manager said, “He would go outside and smoke for five minutes, get high as a kite, and then come back in and he was full of ideas.”
