While talking to Ariel Halawani during an interview that took place before Money in the Bank, Jimmy, and Jey discussed that their father, Rikishi, who was also a WWE star, never wanted his sons to follow in his footsteps, as he was very well aware of all the sacrifices wrestlers have to make for their careers.

Their cousin Dwayne Johnson had a successful career in wrestling. Still, their parents were hesitant to send them into this field.“We were told to stay away from it. My dad, my parents. They wanted us to do something better. They didn’t want our bodies to take a toll, be on the road when you have families,” Jimmy said.

Their mom and dad never wanted them to join wrestling as they believed it would exert them physically and mentally as well. Plus, The Usos also revealed that they were never into wrestling as kids.
