Despite Being in the Finals for the World Heavyweight Championship, AJ Styles Expresses His Displeasure Regarding the Value of the Belt – “How Can You Argue?”

This weekend, WWE superstars AJ Styles and Seth Rollins will compete in the final round of the World Heavyweight championship tournament. And finally, the WWE Universe will get its new champion. The moment Triple H made the announcement about the new title, both excitement, and displeasure equally surrounded it.

Several fans are glad that WWE brought back the popular world heavyweight title and some claimed that it is just a secondary title to let Roman Reigns enjoy his run while others fight for the scraps. However, no one knew how the potential champion feels about the belt. But in his recent interview, the finalist AJ Styles finally broke the silence and expressed his feelings about it.

AJ Styles opens up about his feelings about the new title

Recently, AJ Styles talked to the New York Post. There, he finally broke the silence on the claims that the new WWE World Heavyweight champion is a secondary title.

Styles said that Roman Reigns is the one who is holding both Raw and SmackDown championships so that already devalues the new title. He even mentioned that WWE made a new title just because Reigns is holding all the major ones.

Talking to the NYP AJ Styles said, “Is it a secondary? Well if the Raw championship is held by Roman, the SmackDown championship is held by Roman, then how can you argue that it’s not? We had to make a new championship because Roman holds them all.

But Styles was defiant and further mentioned that the World Heavyweight title is what other superstars have now and they are going to make the best of it. He also said that if the ‘Tribal Chief’ decides to snatch the new title as well, they will ‘beat brakes off him‘.

“What happens if he decides to wrestle for the World Heavyweight championship? It is what it is, and we got what we got. If we make the best of it, and if and when Roman does challenge [for it], we beat the brakes off of him, whomever it might be, then we’ll see what title’s secondary,” Styles added.

Not only this, but Styles also said that the world heavyweight championship will not only come with glory but also with loads of responsibilities.

Later in the interview, the 45-year-old WWE superstar said that whosoever is holding the title, has to do all the jobs that Roman Reigns doesn’t do as the mainstream champion. AJ Styles mentioned that the new champion will be the “workhorse” of the company who will be attending all the pay-per-views, live events, and other media promotions without a break.

Just a few days from now, WWE Universe will get its new World Heavyweight champion. Initially, fans were certain that it is going to be Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. However, now fans are in a dilemma as Rollins will be out of action because of the Hollywood project.

No matter who is going to walk out of the arena, as the new champion, as Styles said, it is certain that he would have to fulfill great responsibilities as WWE fans will look up to him.
