The free agent of WWE attacked the champion to snatch away his pride in holding the title for 350 days, the longest reign of the 21st century. However, despite being in the promotion for 7 long years, Ali got his first shot at a championship title now. But it didn’t come in favor of the star.

Ahead of the biggest match of his career, Ali said, “At Night of Champions, if I can’t be great, if I can’t be a champion, then I don’t deserve to be here.” Unfortunately, it appears like the star has to take the road he would have never wished for, as he couldn’t last against the Ring General.

The clash for the Intercontinental Championship title saw an intense match between the rivals. This turned the live crowd of Saudi Arabia to cheer for Mustafa Ali like anything. At each move by the star, they stood up to encourage him.

But none of it worked against Gunther’s dropkick followed by a powerbomb at the end. After this, Ali couldn’t move allowing GUNTHER to pin him, and continue the fourth-longest reign in the championship’s history.
