Being a WWE champion doesn’t automatically take away your fears. Seth Rollins is a good current example of the same. He admitted to being afraid of other wrestlers’ moves. ‘The Aerialist’ also revealed that this fear might have something to do with his age.

As someone who will have to continuously defend his position as WWE’s Heavyweight Champion, Rollins will have to ultimately face his fears about what Damian Priest can do to him.

Rollins accepts that his age has begun to impact his WWE career. In an interview video posted on the official YouTube channel of ‘WWE on Fox’, Seth Rollins appeared to discuss several things. When the interviewer asked ‘The Architect’ about his “least favorite move to be on the receiving end of,” he had an unexpected reply.

Rollins started by mentioning how he dislikes Kevin Owens‘ ‘pop-up power bomb’ because “There is nothing you can do, you know? There’s just too much velocity. There’s too much. You’re up too high, you’re coming down too fast.” He then proceeded to talk about Damian Priest.

Damian Priest, he’s real tall. He’s got this choke slam where he throws you 20 feet into the air and then brings you down. That’s not fun either. Right now I’m in my ‘I don’t wanna fall down from great heights’ mode, so anything that puts those things together, falling down from great heights, I’m against it,” confessed the 37-year-old wrestler.

The last line is a statement of irony coming from ‘The Aerialist’ himself. His growing dislike of too many aerial stunts hints toward fewer of them in the future.

While we’re on the topic of Rollins’ aerial stunts, let’s look at a few of his popular ones.

Why Seth Rollins is known as The Aerialist

Rollins’ aerial moves are an iconic part of his gimmick. While wrestlers perform aerial stunts quite often, Rollins is particularly famous for them. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion is known to be very creative when it comes to these moves. He often reintroduces his regular moves as aerial stunts.

Some of his popular stunts that we have seen include ‘Phoenix Splash’ and ‘Frog Splash’. Although these two moves in Rollins’ arsenal weren’t introduced by him, the WWE superstar adds his own flair to them and effectively makes them his own. Rollins is also known for ‘Suplex into Falcon Arrow’, which he performs while diving from a corner of his choice.

Interestingly enough, two of these moves were made popular by a Japanese wrestling legend, Hayabusa. So, we can say that a lot of ‘aerialism’ in ‘The Aerialist’ is inspired by him.

Despite his familiarity with air stunts, Rollins is scared of Damian Priest launching him 20 ft into the air. Do you believe Seth Rollins might easily give up his title out of fear if it comes to a feud between the two?
