Dwayne Johnson is undeniably one of the most revered actors in Hollywood. And his recent generous donation to SAG-AFTRA Foundation has earned him more respect than ever. In the midst of Hollywood’s ongoing strike, Dwayne Johnson donated a seven-figure sum to ensure that the till does not run dry. After his massive donation, Emmy winner Loni Love took to social media to express her gratitude toward Dwayne Johnson. 

In case you didn’t know, Hollywood is currently shut down as actors have joined writers on the picket lines after Screen Actors Guild (SAG) failed to reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers. The strike began in May, when writers went on strike, demanding higher pay and an end to the use of artificial intelligence in films. Nonetheless, Dwayne Johnson has emerged as a ray of hope in difficult times.

Loni Love lauds Dwayne Johnson for his generous donation

After Dwayne Johnson made his massive donation, he was spoken highly of by the president of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Courtney B. Vance, and the executive director, Cyd Wilson. While speaking with Variety, Wilson revealed that Johnson made the highest donation. In addition, Vance disclosed that his donation had the “potential to aid thousands of actors”. 

Amidst all the praise, Stand up comedian Loni Love took to Twitter to dedicate her strike sign to Dwayne Johnson. She wrote, “Thank you so much @TheRock … I’m making my strike sign dedicated to you this week!!”

It should be noted that Dwayne Johnson’s donation amount was withheld at The Great One’s request because he preferred to keep it private. We do know, however, that the Red Notice actor has spent millions out of the goodness of his heart.

Johnson’s gesture is greatly appreciated by actors and writers in these trying times. His deed only proves how charitable he is. Speaking of which, Dwayne Johnson recently paid a visit to the Los Angeles Dream Center.

Founded in 1994, The Los Angeles Dream Center aims to provide safe haven to individuals and families who are poverty-stricken. 

On Instagram, Dwayne Johnson recently posted a picture of himself posing with his daughters, outside the Dream Center. In the caption, Johnson praised the “Dream Team” for bringing relief to several broken families. 

This goes to show that Johnson’s heart is as big as his bank account. Probably even bigger.
