Declan McMahon, a red-shirt freshman running back for Indiana University’s Big Ten football team and a part of the fourth-generation wrestling legacy, is studying business management with aspirations in sports media. Born into the McMahon wrestling dynasty, with prominent figures like Shane and Stephanie McMahon in WWE, Declan is well-versed in the industry.

Juggling his love for football, Declan already has a fitting wrestling name. His family connections, football pursuits, and WWE dreams form a robust foundation for his future and he spoke about the same in a recent interview.

The new McMahon talks about pro-wrestling and works of art

In an interview with reporter Jim Varsallone, Declan spoke about his status as a McMahon and his chances of getting into the pro wrestling business. In one of the segments, he talked about his first experience at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

While explaining his feelings about the Performance Center, he said, “So, I think they [WWE] do a phenomenal job in the sense of just learning the ring because what you see, there’s countless hours that those guys put in just making sure that everything’s going to go according to plan. I think the performance center does a really great job and, I mean, it’s a work of art.

With Declan previously in the interview mentioning that his parents have worked towards not making the promotion a big part of his life, so as to allow him the ability to choose what he wants to do, he seems to already have a good grasp of the family business.
