In the eyes of WWE Universe, Damian Priest is a potential superstar who has made the strongest impact. Priest is currently a member of the brutal Judgement Day stable. In addition, he showed his talent in NXT before making his WWE debut, which contributed to his rise to fame there.

In the most recent edition of the Under the Ring podcast, Priest spoke about how WWE legend Scott Hall has always influenced him. Moreover, he had acquired Hall’s approval before using his finisher and entrance.

In the WWE, Priest often used the iconic Razor’s edge maneuver and Hall’s entrance walk. In the podcast, he revealed how Hall granted him permission when speaking of him. He stated, “He was just as cool as the character. I’ll tell you that much. I mean, in a certain way, he wasn’t really a character, he was just him. [7:55 – 8:01]”.

Further, Priest recounted their encounter at NXT, where Hall was a guest coach. To advance in his profession, each had put in the time and watched matches that helped him a lot. He said the experience was amazing on its own.

He added, “One of my idols and he’s giving me advice, sitting down with me, watching my matches. You know, pointing out stuff and trying to make it better. And then me asking him, ‘Would it be cool if I did the walk and the, you know, the Razor’s Edge?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, man! Use anything that will remind people of me’. [8:17 – 8:38]”.

Unfortunately, in March, Scott Hall, aka Razor Ramon, died at age 63 after having three heart attacks. However, Priest undoubtedly brings back memories of the late WWE great whenever he performs the iconic Razor’s edge.
