Despite being engulfed by a lot of controversies from time to time, the best thing about CM Punk is his stupendous entrance. Thanks to the loud resonation of his iconic ”Cult of Personality” every time he storms through the ring. The song, over the years, became almost synonymous with Punk and holds a special place in the wrestler’s heart. Despite fans objecting to the song change from the iconic ‘This Fire Burns’ in 2011, they slowly changed their tune over time. So when a fan-made theme that was made in the style of Def Rebel surfaced, fans took the opportunity to bash the musical group.

The inseparable coupling of the music and a wrestler has had a long tale to narrate from time immemorial in pro wrestling. As noticed by any regular fan, WWE oftentimes tends to shuffle the deck in terms of its music. They change up the audio cue attached to the gimmicks to add diversity or flavor to the mundane. CM Punk’s Cult of Personality also wasn’t immune to the norm. During the latest edition of the ‘‘Drinks with Johnny” podcast, the legendary song-writer, Corey Glover, spilled that it was CM Punk himself who saved his theme song in the face of a proposed swap.
