The fact is not hidden from combat sports enthusiasts: the recently held TKO deal has proved to be a real cash cow for former WWE head honcho Vince McMahon. But, despite having significant financial importance, this deal also proved to be a nightmare for various WWE officials who lost their jobs as a result of the multi-billion dollar setup. However, by bagging a whopping $9.3 billion, the 78-year-old would still be on cloud nine.

Despite being thrilled to bits, McMahon recently commented on something bluntly concerning WWE’s operations. The comments, in fact, proved to be another set of curveballs for his employees.

Vince McMahon believed that the promotion had stagnated in his absence. He stated that the TKO merger and acquisition of the promotion were crucial for the development of the company. However, the statements of McMahon led to a lot of eye rolls by various officials who were present at that point in time. Surely, they must have considered the dazzling numbers that popped out during the absence of the former boss.

The above scenario was confirmed by Fightful recently. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful shared a post that certainly told the entire story. It said, “Fightful Select has heard from several people in WWE who eyerolled Vince McMahon’s comments about WWE plateauing and needing to do the merger to take the company to the next level.

Moving towards the consequence further, he stated, “This caused a lot of reaffirmation in beliefs that Vince wanted a deal so he could return.” Apparently, McMahon’s statements led the employees to speculate about why he actually wanted the deal. In fact, the employees strongly believe that promotion was doing just fine with McMahon. However, with McMahon back, it’s unclear how this will affect the ongoing scenario.
