Just weeks after his debut match gear was ridiculed online by rising WWE superstar Grayson Waller, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had more dirt thrown at him by his new detractor in the promotion. This time, the 33-year-old chose to humiliate The Great One by snubbing him, while labeling others as better.

This comes just days after Johnson clapped back at the criticism regarding his wardrobe. He was at his brutal best as he took down the Australian pro wrestler with a trademark insult on Twitter. It also set the stage for a possible future feud.

Dwayne Johnson is a University of Miami alumni. It is safe to say he’s one of the most popular faces to have come out of that institution. But Waller doesn’t think so. On the latest episode of SmackDown, he chose to acknowledge others over Johnson.

On the July 21 episode of the blue brand, the spectators were surprised as Hanna and Haley Cavinder made their shock WWE appearance. The former college basketball twins have a healthy social media following and are touted as future WWE superstars, who could replicate Hall of Famers Bella Twins.

Popularly known as Cavinder Twins, they joined host Waller, who declared his love for twins on the show. Apart from their tie with the WWE, the twins also have another thing in common with The Rock- they are University of Miami alumni. Waller used this information to score a point over The Brahma Bull.

Without naming the 51-year-old, he tweeted that the twins were “easily the most talented superstars” to have attended the prestigious institution. Waller has been engaged in a feud with The People’s Champ for a few weeks now. After he made fun of his dress, the WWE icon shot back, calling Waller an “Outback Jack Off” and a “Jabroni”.

The Australian played it off as “classic 1999 schoolyard insults”. On the other hand, their back and forth have raised the hopes of fans of an encounter. Though nothing has been said yet, Waller’s constant salvos at Johnson have kept the WWE Universe hooked.

On the other hand, how true are Grayson Waller’s claims about Cavinder Twins being the most talented University of Miami alumni and where does Dwayne Johnson rank? Let’s find out.

Hefty donations and tributes: The Rock and The University of Miami bond

Not just as a student, Dwayne Johnson has kept his bond strong with the university, even after all these years. And his name will forever be etched as one of the greats to have enrolled there. Here’s why.

Johnson and his ex-wife and business partner Dany Garcia donated the university $2 million in 2006. It was announced during the premiere of his movie Gridiron Gang. The film is based on football, a passion Johnson pursued there. As a tribute, the university renamed their living room at the alumni center to ‘Dany Garcia & Dwayne Johnson Living Room’.

Not just that. After he reportedly donated another hefty sum a few years ago to the university’s football team, they decided to honor him once again. This time, the locker room was renamed to, “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Locker Room”.

In comparison, the Cavinder Twins are just another bunch of famous alumni.
