The Scottish Warrior is dealing with a similar situation right now. Amidst losing his sister-in-law and all the chaos going on in his professional life, this news came along the lines of a big change in who he was.

Drew McIntyre migrated to America from the rich land of Scotland to pursue his dream of making it a top wrestling star. With the United States being his major foreground for a long time, McIntyre had reportedly applied to become a citizen of the great nation.

The Elite section of PWInsider.com reported earlier this week that Drew McIntyre has now successfully completed the procedure of becoming a naturalized American citizen. This would have surely been good news for the McIntyre household.

However, as mentioned, Drew McIntyre and his family are currently dealing with the loss of his sister-in-law. That is one of the reasons that he has been off WWE television programming for some time now. So, good news came his way, but the timing was surely not right.

What is going on in his professional life?

Drew McIntyre was last seen at WrestleMania 39. He was part of a high-stakes triple-threat title match against Sheamus and reigning WWE Intercontinental champion Gunther for the workhorse championship. But it did not end the way he wanted. He ended up in the losing column on the Grandest Stage of them all.

Furthermore, in regard to his contractual status, there is nothing confirmed as of now. However, earlier reports did say that WWE is yet to close a contract with McIntyre that would keep him with Vince McMahon‘s company till early 2024.

Drew McIntyre was also spotted flying out of New York City this week, as reported by PWInsider. But they could confirm that whether he was north side to meet with WWE officials and potentially renegotiate his contract. So there is no confirmation regarding his future.
