In 2021, Finn Balor was preparing for his title match against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. In the lead-up to the event, Reigns and Balor were part of a contract signing on SmackDown. Wrestling fans are well aware that WWE contract signings always end in disaster and chaos. And so, as Balor motioned towards signing the contract, Baron Corbin emerged out of nowhere and attacked Finn Balor, eliminating him from the equation.
While Corbin thought he would steal Finn Balor’s spot for a crack at Roman Reigns’ Universal Title, John Cena made his way to the ring and took out Corbin. Cena then proceeded to sign the contract with a big Sharpie pen. Finn Balor expressed his apprehension ahead of next week’s contract signing, recalling the incident from two years ago.
