Days After Devastating Loss, ‘Honored and Privileged’ Sami Zayn Makes Big Admission Following Superstar Spectacle in India

Pro wrestling stars are never ashamed of admitting their love for fans and audiences. Sami Zayn gave a perfect example of it. He tweeted about the fans present at the WWE Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad, India on September 8th, 2023. Zayn showed his appreciation for the Indian crowd and had a massive compliment for them.

Zayn, was able to regain his pride after a win at the Superstar Spectacle days after losing the tag team titles to The Judgement Day.

In a tweet, Zayn exclaimed that the crowd was absolutely amazing. He said it ranks among the top five crowds he has ever performed for because they were so loud and enthusiastic. Then, Zayn thanked India for their love. He concluded by saying “What an honor and privilege.” describing the experience of hearing the fans cheering for him.

Zayn’s words will be a big feather in the cap for India, considering that he wrestled around the world and at some of the biggest and most famous arenas.

At WWE Superstar Spectacle, Zayn, Kevin Owens took and Indus Sher before Jinder Mahal interfered. Drew McIntyre then came out to level the odds, and the match was turned into a six-man tag team match. The fan-favorite trio of Zayn, KO and McIntyre prevailed against Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky. After a six-year hiatus, WWE made its long-awaited comeback to India with this exciting 3-hour live event.

After the match, Cena delivered a speech in which he expressed that this moment exceeded his wildest expectations. Cena had previously expressed that he feels grateful about his debut wrestling appearance in India. Apart from the scheduled matches, WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023 featured appearances by popular superstars like Matt Riddle, Rhea Ripley, and Natalya.
