WWE released Mandy Rose mere hours after she lost her NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez. This release came all of a sudden when many were expecting Rose to return to the main roster. Rose had been a part of the revamped NXT brand since 2021 and dominated the Women’s division as part of the stable Toxic Attraction. After being part of WWE for almost seven years, Rose’s departure and the manner of it left many fans surprised.
During her time on the main roster, Mandy Rose was involved in memorable storylines with WWE stars Otis and Dolph Ziggler. She also had a highly intense feud with her former partner Sonya Deville in 2020. She returned to NXT a year later and soon captured the Women’s title which she would hold until her defeat by Perez on the recent episode of NXT.

But just as fans were expecting Rose and her faction to receive a main roster call-up, news came out that WWE has let her go. Fans had a hard time believing this turn of events and shared their opinions online.
Fans aghast after WWE releases Mandy Rose
WWE’s decision to fire Mandy Rose came as a shock to wrestling fans. Many fans believed that she was doing some of her best career work as a champion in NXT after a run on the main roster. As part of the Toxic Attraction stable, which included Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, Rose became a mainstay of the Women’s division of the developmental brand. She brought a lot of credibility with her and helped elevate younger talent.
Rose seemed like a natural fit for the edgy NXT programming and did her part well. After Roxanne Perez defeated her to end her 413-day title reign, Rose bid adieu to the NXT fans and many suspected a return to RAW or SmackDown for the Golden Goddess. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, WWE released her shortly after her title loss. According to reports, the reason for the release was due to the content she posted on her FanTime page which violated the terms of her contract.
