Ava Raine initially expressed her desire to be a professional wrestler in 2017. While it’s natural for a fourth-generation star to follow in their family’s footsteps, Raine’s transition has been nothing short of phenomenal.
And now she looks to take the next step at NXT. According to WrestleTalk, the young star will compete in her first singles match since her debut back in October 2022. Asking Nile to step out of her shadows and not be a third wheel, Ava challenged Ivy Nile to a match at next week’s NXT heatwave.

Currently involved in a feud with the Creed brothers, she has every opportunity of making a major statement next week. With thunderous matches set for next week, NXT looks to deliver big moments.
The upcoming edition of NXT promises to make a splash
For those unversed, while this is Raine’s first singles match, this isn’t the first time she’s facing Ivy Nille in a match. On the 6th June edition of NXT, she made her NXT in-ring debut in a tag team match which ended with Raine pinning Nile.
As for next week’s NXT, the show promises to be huge as Dominik Mysterio will team up with Rhea Ripley against Lee Dragon and Lyra Valkryia in a huge mixed-tag team match.

But the story here is about Raine’s in-ring debut. Ever since her contract signing in 2020, fans have been curious to see the talent perform. While it’s certainly a tall order for anyone to match the charisma of The Rock, the 22-year-old certainly has the training behind it as Shawn Michaels supervises NXT.
With the backing of these legends, fans can’t wait to see the amazing performances she puts on in the coming weeks going forward, while a proud father, Johnson, watches his blood wrestle just like how he used to back in the day.
