“Cycle of Life” – an Emotional Dwayne Johnson Shared Adorable Family Ritual While Sitting Next to His Grandparents’ Graves

There aren’t many who come close to matching Dwayne Johnson when it comes to his success both in WWE and in Hollywood. Being in the public eye for so long may drive anyone away from their roots. Not Johnson, though, as he always takes pride in his rich heritage. A look at his recent social media activity certainly suggests the same.

It’s a well-known fact that ‘The Great One’ comes from the famous Anoa’i family. The clan has always given gifted performers to the world of wrestling. However, there has not been anyone quite like Johnson who dominated not only sports entertainment but showbiz as well. And he recently displayed how he stayed in touch with his mother’s side of ancestors despite them not being physically present in the world.

Dwayne Johnson spends time at his grandparents’ graves

‘The Brahma Bull’ shared a video on his Instagram account. In it, he can be seen sitting with his mother, Ata Johnson, at his maternal grandparents’ graves. The caption for the post read, “We sure miss ‘em. Always so good to spend time at my grandfather and grandmother’s grave (my mom’s mom and dad). We just sit, sing a little, talk story and laugh. Cry a little. Cycle of life”.

Johnson stated that he liked to spend time at his late elders’ graves. His whole demeanor during the clip suggested that he was feeling a strong sense of nostalgia.

The 10-time WWE champion previously also displayed his profound love for his grandparents, Peter Maivia and Lia Maivia, in a previous visit to their burial site.

Johnson paid a visit to the gravestone in 2019 as well. And he shared a heartfelt post on Instagram back then as well. He posted, “Life is so wildly hectic and unpredictable. But it’s amazing how slowing down to sit and talk with the spirits of your loved ones can recalibrate your soul.”

It’s fair to say that The People’s Champ likes to remember his elders from time to time. He once shared a funny anecdote featuring his grandparents.

The people rightly credit Dwayne Johnson for his meteoric rise. However, he acknowledges the massive sacrifices that his family had to make to send him to the very top. And Johnson always takes out time to spend quality moments at the grave of his late grandparents. It’s his way of honoring their legacy and thanking them for their invaluable contributions.
